Scott Morie - Pastor

The Morie family enjoys being together and having a good time. This is their 2007 Christmas picture and as you can see Melissa lost her balance just before the shutter clicked. Those closest to her did their best to keep their composure, but not completely.

Scott has been Pastor at ISBC since April of 1993. He has a Degree in Business from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Scott formerly served as a Youth Minister and also a church planter with the North American Mission Board. He has recently begun a ministry of church consulting and capital stewardship support called Church Strategies LLC.

The Pastor’s wife, Sharon, is the Women’s Ministry Leader at ISBC and has served as a Sunday school teacher, on various committees and even as youth camp cook. Sharon is also an OSU grad and is a third grade teacher in Broken Arrow.

Murry is their oldest and is married to Rachel. They are both teachers and active at ISBC. Heather is a recent graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a degree in family and marriage counseling. Paige, one of the identical twins, is serving on staff at a discipleship camp in Montana. Melissa attends Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi working on a master’s degree. Don will be a senior at the University of Tulsa. Kim will be a freshman at Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford. She will be working on a nursing degree.

Carol Evans - Administrative Assistant

Carol has been a member at ISBC for 9 years and has served as Administrative Assistant for almost seven years and Financial Secretary for 2 years. Carol is married to Craig and they have a teenage daughter, Chelsea. She also has two West Highland Terriers, Cassie and Mandy.

Carol has been involved with VBS, children’s choir, youth camp and youth activities. Outside the church she has served as a Girl Scout Leader for 6 years, volunteers at the schools her daughter attends, served as PTA Treasurer, and is active in volunteering with the Oklahoma Westie Rescue organization. Hobbies include sewing, scrapbooking and gardening.


Julian Pope - Church Administrator

Julian Pope worked in the Oil and Gas Business for many years. Having recently retired as a VP of St. Mary Land and Exploration, Julian was asked to be our Church Administrator. He works with the Personnel, Properties, and Finance Ministry Teams.

Julian and His wife, Phyllis and two grown sons, Jay and Greg. Phyllis takes care of babies at ISBC. Julian enjoys watching the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, and University of Texas Longhorns and also collects old tractors.

Melissa and Seth have been married 18 years with 2 great kids Taylor and Dylan.  They are excited about being a part of ISBC and the Broken Arrow community. They have been with ISBC for a couple of years now and love serving and being involved with such a great group of people. 


Wayne and Linda Sander - Kids 4 Jesus Directors

Wayne and Linda Sander were married in 1961. They have been blessed with a son and daughter and eight grandchildren (five boys and three girls). They have lived in Blytheville, AR, Evansville, IN, Blairsville IN, Muskegon, MI, Vincennes, IN, Albuquerque, NM, Placits, NM, Bernalillo, NM, and then to Broken Arrow. They graduated from Child Evangelism Fellowship Leadership Training Institute in November 1974 and have experience working with children.

Wayne and Linda's personal mission statement is, "We believe that every child should hear the gospel and be given the opportunity to receive Jesus as their personal Savior. We also believe the Christian child should be taught the Word of God in order to grow in their knowledge of the Word of God and how they can be a servant for Christ even as a child."


Meghann Chancey - Preschool Ministries Director

Meghann and Michael have been a part of the ministries at Indian Springs for the past year. They really enjoy the fellowship and outpouring of God's love that has been shown to them since joining ISBC. They have a daughter, Ella, that enjoys playing in the church nursery and on the swings at the playground.

Meghann is excited about working with the preschool ministry and loves each and every child in the program. Michael is active in the church and co-teaches the youth boys Sunday School class.
